Tai chi is an amazing art of change and flow.
We see it as a way to move through life: tai chi can imbue our every gesture and movement, enriching our experience and bringing us closer to the Way.
Its benefits are well known:
-Improved balance
-Better co-ordination
-Calmer mind
-Stronger body
We believe that to embody tai chi, elements of play and exploration are essential: not just learning long choreography.
So we use simplified flow, and partner play in our approach.
Come and join one of our classes and experience tai chi in a new way!
Hi I'm Nick I have been practicing tai chi chuan for nearly twenty-five years. I am influenced by the work of Rafe Kelley, and John Vervaeke.
My mission is to show the full potential of tai chi as an art, to share and develop the wisdom to be found in its practice.
I believe that tai chi can be more than just a set of movements, and that it may be able to play a part in addressing the cultural meaning crisis that many of us feel we are living through.
I have taught tai chi in a wide variety of settings: at Brighton Museum, at National Trust for Life, Death Whatever, for South East Dance, and at both Unity and About Balance Studios in Brighton.
I am a Senior Instructor with the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain.
I live in Brighton with my wife and daughter.

Alex is a qi gong teacher who brings notions of the sacred earth into his practice, check his site for class details

5 Snake is a collaboration with my mentor and friend Ian Kendall, where we explore an innovative approach to the martial aspects of tai chi
